New Stability Criterion for Discrete-Time Genetic Regulatory Networks with Time-Varying Delays and Stochastic Disturbances

    Get PDF
We propose an improved stability condition for a class of discrete-time genetic regulatory networks (GRNs) with interval time-varying delays and stochastic disturbances. By choosing an augmented novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional which contains some triple summation terms, a less conservative sufficient condition is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) by using the combination of the lower bound lemma, the discrete-time Jensen inequality, and the free-weighting matrix method. It is shown that the proposed results can be readily solved by using the Matlab software. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness and advantages of the theoretical results

Multi-level Fusion of Wav2vec 2.0 and BERT for Multimodal Emotion Recognition

The research and applications of multimodal emotion recognition have become increasingly popular recently. However, multimodal emotion recognition faces the challenge of lack of data. To solve this problem, we propose to use transfer learning which leverages state-of-the-art pre-trained models including wav2vec 2.0 and BERT for this task. Multi-level fusion approaches including coattention-based early fusion and late fusion with the models trained on both embeddings are explored. Also, a multi-granularity framework which extracts not only frame-level speech embeddings but also segment-level embeddings including phone, syllable and word-level speech embeddings is proposed to further boost the performance. By combining our coattention-based early fusion model and late fusion model with the multi-granularity feature extraction framework, we obtain result that outperforms best baseline approaches by 1.3% unweighted accuracy (UA) on the IEMOCAP dataset.Comment: Accepted to INTERSPEECH 202

Research on a safety evaluation system for railway-tunnel structures by fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory

    Get PDF
Long-term health detection of railway-tunnel is the development direction and trend of future railway tunnel research. Based on the actual engineering of a railway tunnel, this study developed a safety evaluation model for railway tunnel structures using a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and examined a health state evaluation method suitable for most railway tunnel structures. The results showed that the evaluation method comprehensively reflected the impact of various factors, which had strong practicality. The evaluation results were clear, accurate, and consistent with engineering practice. When using the safety factor index to study the stress of a railway tunnel structure, Midas/civil analysis showed that different levels of the surrounding rock structural vault in railway tunnels were in a tensile, control-bearing capacity state. When calculating safety factors, the range of a 60° central angle of a railway tunnel vault was calculated according to the tensile control-bearing capacity. Theoretical formulas of the range of the center angle φ0 of the vault tension zone were derived and then verified by experiments and numerical analysis

Objective: To analyze the bacteriostatic effect of Baitouweng on Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection of wounds in rats. Methods: Forty Wistar rats were enrolled in the study, among which excisions were made on 30 rats on their upper layer of dorsal skin with an area of 1 cm x 1 cm, the other 10 rats as the control group of sterile wound. Prepared Pseudomonas aeruginosa was applied on the wounds of rats to create infection models. Forty rats were divided into three groups (control group, mafenide group and Baitouweng group) according to different infection methods, and were treated with normal saline, 100g/L mafenide, and 1g/L Baitouweng respectively after 3 hours of injury. The changes in the number of white blood cells in both the wound surface and body of the three groups were observed within one to four days after injury. After that, the changes on the number of both white blood cells and body weight were continuously observed. The survival of the rats in each group was observed on the 14th day after injury. Results: From the observation after injury, compared with the other two groups, rats in control group had more exudation and moist wounds, and the activities of rats decreased while the death rate increased. On the 3rd day after injury, the number of white blood cells in each group decreased, and the number of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in the control group was significantly higher than that in the other two groups (P < 0.01). The rats in the sterile wound control group did not die and continued to gain weight. After 14 days, the survival number of rats in control group was significantly less than that in mafenide group and Baitouweng group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Baitouweng has obvious bacteriostatic and virus-killing effects on Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection of wounds in Wistar rats, reducing mortality rate effectively, and has practical value as well as development and application prospects

A Clinical Observation and Study on Prunella Vulgaris Decoction in Promoting the Repair of Chronic Infective Refractory Wounds

    Get PDF
Objective: To further study the clinical efficacy of prunella vulgaris decoction in promoting the repair of chronic infective refractory wounds, and analyze and evaluate the feasibility of this treatment. Methods: A total of 80 patients with chronic infective refractory wounds were screened out from a hospital from March 2020 to March 2021. The random sampling method was used to divide the patients into the experimental group and reference group. The experimental group was treated with prunella vulgaris decoction while the reference group was treated with routine wound dressing change. Wound repair rate, bacterial negative conversion rate, healing time and clinical comprehensive efficacy in the two groups were used as evaluation indexes in this study. Results: After different treatment, the conditions of the patients in the two groups were statistically analyzed. It was found that the wound repair rate, bacterial negative conversion rate and total effective rate of the experimental group were much higher than that of the reference group. In addition, the wound healing time in the experimental group was also significantly shortened compared with that of the reference group. Conclusion: Prunella vulgaris decoction bears obvious anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects and can accelerate the speed of wound repair, which has great practical value in clinic treatment and prosperous prospect in future development and application

Purpose: To investigate the efficacy and prognostic factors in response to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in lowrisk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN).Methods: This single-center retrospective study analyzed the hospital records of 204 LRGTN patients admitted to Department of Gynecology, Liaoning Cancer Hospital & Institute of China from 2002 to 2016 for retrieval of their clinical data, chemotherapy regimens, related side-effects, and evaluation of treatment efficacy and prognostic factors. Results: The median progression-free survival (PFS) was 55 months (3 - 190 months). The overall cure rate was 100 %, with no tumor-related deaths. When a single-agent regimen i.e. 5-FU, was selected for initiation of treatment for 132 patients while only 49 of them were treated with chemotherapy, the effective cure rate was 62.88 % (83/132); while the overall drug resistance r was 27.27 % (36/132). For patients with FIGO scores ≥ 4 points, the incidence of drug resistance was 71.43 % (5/7), while the incidence of III/IV myelosuppression was 10.61 % (14/132). A total of 38 patients (18.63 %) received surgical treatment in addition to chemotherapy. A comparison was made between two groups of patients with non-drug resistance, i.e., patients with unexpected GTN diagnosed postoperatively and those who received chemotherapy preoperatively. It was found that the number of courses of GTN chemotherapy for those who were unexpectedly diagnosed postoperatively was more than that for those who received chemotherapy preoperatively (p = 0.004).Conclusion: The single drug (5-FU) was effective in the management of low-risk (LR)-GTN. Treatment failure was related to drug resistance, high tumor score, and severe toxicity. Multi-agent regiments in combination with surgery, were an effective treatment method for GTN. For patients without metastasis and fertility requirements, surgery after chemotherapy significantly shortened the treatment cycle without increasing complications
